5:24am
"Lindsay! Get up here! We need your help!" Matt yelled while passing the stairs, down to a yawning Lindsay doing tests in the kitchen. She ran upstairs to help, not even knowing why she was being yelled at.
By the time Matt, Anton, Claire and Lindsay were in place to try and get him off the roof, Peter was fully awake and clinging to the roof only by his shoulders up. He would have been screaming, but he couldn't. The infection in his throat was still there, but right now he had bigger problems. He was hanging precariously off the side of the roof and was in risk of falling almost 20 feet onto solid ground. The only way to get him off the roof now was to have him move in front of a window and pull him in that way. It was a very complicated thing to do.
Claire and Anton were in charge of pulling him in through the window after Matt and Lindsay moved him over to it. The only way to talk to each other was to yell through the window, but they couldn't talk with Peter for known reasons.
Peter slowly moved over to the window, inch by inch. The brick side gave him some foothold, but not much. He was between two windows when the bricks in the wall started to... morph into something. The bricks swirled around and soon became a large mass of nothingness. A large -very large- hand formed out of the mass. It was four feet tall and protruded seven feet out of the wall. It grabbed Peter around the waist. Peter gave a small whimper in pain but remained conscious. He let go of the roof, and Matt and Lindsay looked down to see if he had fallen. They saw the hand holding Peter in midair, and they both nearly fell off the roof in amazement. The hand squeezed Peter, and he went limp. Hanging on to consciousness by a thread, Peter lifted his head to look at Matt, then the hand retreated into the wall with him still in its grasp.
Anton and Claire went downstairs and out the front door. They stood looking up at Matt and Lindsay, who were two stories above them, shocked. There was only one trace of Peter left- his watch, which evidently had fallen off in the struggle between him and the hand that came from the wall. Anton picked it up and noticed that it wasn't working.
"Matt? Where's Peter?" Claire questioned.
"In the wall..." Lindsay answered for him. Everyone went back into the house, forgetting about the fact that they were supposed to spend minimal time in there, and the jobs they had been working on.
